Kitchen stuff you might need
You can't just make nice food without some gadgets and trinkets.
Here's a bunch of stuff I use, that you'll likely need if you follow any of the recipes on this site.
Big pan with lid
Seriously, I use this pan almost every day. It's great for soups, pizza base, bolognese, curry, fried eggs, frying meat, hitting people, etc.
Wooden spoons
I mean, you gotta stir stuff up, right?
Casserole dish
Something oven proof and reasonably sized - most recipes here that require a casserole dish will serve 6-8 portions so get a decent sized one.
Whisk
Manual or electric. It totally depends on how much of a sadist you are. Mostly for whipping cream or egg whites.
Spatula
For fried eggs, omelettes, other things where a spoon just doesn't cut it.
Frying pan
Unsurprisingly, you'll need to fry stuff sometimes.
Blender
A big-ish one, something you could chuck four servings or more of soup ingredients into and blend without it exploding everywhere.
Mezzaluna
Watch your fingers! This little beaut will help you chop herbs and smaller ingredients quickly and easily. Especially good for fresh coriander or similar leafy things.
Vegetable spiralizer
Make boring shit look better. For ribbons, julienne, grating and (obviously) spiralizing things. Used in salads, toppings, and when you might possibly want to subject yourself to zoodles.
Hand blender
For smaller blending jobs, when you don't need to get the entire big blender out. Useful for blending things while they're still in the pan, like sauces and little soups.
Waffle maker
Great for waffles, of course, but also frequently used in many Keto recipes that use 'chaffles' or 'bread-ish' parts.
